Just got Es 1080 customized receiving...works well on citywide p25 type 2 trunking but rr database will not allow me to import encrypted channels. I would like to hear them just to know if they are full time encrypted.
Can you disable the rr database to allow this? Will ez scan be of help? Thanks

Use EZScan. As a last step in importing click on Import Options and select import encrypted.

Thanks for the info Swipesy. My ez scan would not bring up a window configured like that. After much searching I just got off the phone with a whistler tech and he told me that the ws1080 will not let me import locked out talked group channels. However I could enter them manually, the encrypted stuff was usually full time anyway, because it's software driven . I did talk to him about the Ohio Marc's ip systems, sometimes the voice is not fully decoded. He said it is inherent in the Marc's system and sometimes this happens, scanners don't like it! Did a lot of exploring ez scan.oh, yes I'm in Ohio. Thanks very much...H
