I have purchased a Baofeng UV-5R Radio and I find it to be a nice radio. There are some quircks that I need help understanding? I am using the CHIRP software to program the radio. The only purpose for this radio is to scan frequencies. In the software there is an option import from data source. Radio Reference is an option.
So I signed up for an account with Radio Reference and imported some frequencies to the radio. I have found some that have worked but there are some that show transmitting but I can not hear anything?
Does anyone know if the Radio Reference Data Source import everything to monitor all the desired channels or are there any other setting that need to be adjusted such as PL tones, modes etc?
