Not sure if this the right area so mods please take care of it. I'm have a lot of trouble importing my log to QRZ from another program. I contacted QRZ through their support area and they told me their engineers are working the problem. The skinny of it is I received 42 errors because somehow my name was where my call sign should have been( probably my fault) I followed the directions to the letter and that is what I got. Last few of QSO's I imputed manually and no problem their in there. My question is has anybody else experienced anything like this? I was saddened to see that they don't have telephone support so my only option is email but they seem to pritty diligent and assure me that they will help.

I think QRZ would be the last place I'd want to upload my logs. There are other, better places available for on-line logs, such as eQSL and the ARRL's Logbook of the World. eQSL is easy to use, but LOTW can be a bit daunting because of the somewhat complex verification procedure.

I have AC logger software that links to LOTW but I was told more DXers use QRZ. I have nearly 70 QSO's so far and maybe 8 or 9 confirmed? I was trying to get more confirmed so I figured QRZ would help.

I'm doubtful of this statement. Since QSLs via LotW count for DXCC and QSLs via any other online logging system do not count for DXCC, I think LotW is probably the way to go for anyone seeking DXCC.

What logging software are you using? Can it export an ADIF file of your contacts? ADIF is a standard file format for amateur radio logging. QRZ.com's logbook can import an ADIF file. So, the process would be to have your logging program export an ADIF file and then import it into QRZ.com's logbook.

I tried to do that but QRZ is telling me that something got messed up. Actually I tried to export it several times. The name of the program is AC logger by N3FPH I believe? He has YouTube videos but I have a feeling it's one little setting I did wrong. I will keep trying. Thank you for replying W9 I appreciate it.

I like the QRZ logging "cloud" platform but I'm not ready to give up my PC based DX logging program yet. I've worked a few stations where after the QSO checked there QRZ page and seen my call in there log. Yes it shows instant conformation but you still need the other station to send you a QSL card or a LOTW conformation to count towards DXCC. I believe the QRZ logging system is not free and only offers it as a trial for a limited amount of days.

LOTW conformations do take time for DX stations to up-load and sadly there are many DX stations that have not started using LOTW but there are more joining every week. I have uploaded 6266 mostly DX QSO's and have 1968 QSO's confirmed. That's 31% conformation for QSO's from 1985 to the present. Every month or so I will receive a LOTW conformation for a QSO made in the 1990's or later showing that a lot of old logs are making it to LOTW.

DX Contests - ARRL and CQ's are two excellent times of the year to work a lot of new countries and receive LOTW conformation. My contest LOTW conformation rate is around 35-40%.

Ok I'm starting to get the picture thanks guys. I will continue to write them down, log them into LOTW and then log them into QRZ.COM manually. Your correct I paid for QRZ so I can use that as well.

I don't waste my time with that bunch. I upload my logs to qrzcq, hrdlog, hamlog, eqsl, lotw, and clublog. I will not use qrz.com because it is a commercial interest that treats its ham info as it's own personal property. Just spend some time on their forums and you will see it is not a place you want to be associated with. Some of the regulars badmouth this site. Their logbook is not worth much either.
