Has anyone successfully imported RadioReference CSV data
files to an Icom IC-Q7A HT via the TK7 app?

We are getting a message saying there is an error in
the CSV data file.

The CSV files are of several counties here in central
Florida including Hernando, Pinellas, Pasco, Citrus,
Polk, Lake, and Orange.

Every one of them is flagged as containing errors.

Ideas, please?

Perhaps I need to broaden the context, please?

Can someone please download the Pasco County Florida CSV files from RR and try to import them to a
Q7A?

I need to know if the files are defective or if the problem lies in the app.

Thanks! doc

CSV files from RR here have the following fields:
output freq
input freq
call sign
entity
description
channel number
pl tone
mode - AM FM Motorola EDACS, etc
type - BM R, etc
You can bring up the file in a spreadsheet and edit the fields to the order your app wants.

As a note I did run across one problem when I wrote an app to load the csv file to my BC796, the end of line character was just a LF insted of CRLF. Bring up the file in spreadsheet and saving it as csv fixed this.

Microsoft Works

We do not have MS Works.

I tried Gnumeric Spreadsheet Editor under Linux but when I look,
using Notepad on his WinXP box, the end of the line shows a
vertical rectangle on the original and the Gnumeric-saved files so I
take that to mean that no change was made?

The specific error is:

"Invalid Mode WPKC993"

The are commas prior to and following so it does not
seem to be the result of a missing comma delimiter.

What problems are you having? My Excel handles csv files fine.

If you have a text editor that can read *nix files, just load the csv into it and save it under another name. Most Windows editors write CRLF as the EOL regardless of what it was coming in.
