Just after 400 PM today, Camden County Dispatched Station 11-3 (Pennsauken) and BLS 11-77 for a Motor Vehicle Crash in the area of Rt 130 and the Airport Circle in Pennsauken. Upon arrival 11-77 reported a 2 car crash with one car overturned and in the water. The assignment was upgraded to a water rescue. Dispatch added ALS 43 and 45, BLS 16-47 (Collingswood) and BLS 33 (Camden City), as well as Marine Units 11-3 and 11-6. Unfortunately there was one patient DOA, one was extricated from the other vehicle and transported (I believe, anyway) to Lourdes by BLS 33 and ALS 43. Another patient was transported by BLS 11-77 to Cooper with ALS 45. No word on their condition.
Also present on scene was BLS 11-76, Command unit 11-70 and Unit 11-91 (Not sure what that is).
As crews were working that crash scene, there was a report of another MVC on the ramp flyover to the airport circle from Admiral Wilson Blvd Rt 30. It was reported one vehicle hit the wall. BLS 16-47 responded and investigated, no word on the report.
As of 4:55 PM the first accident scene was still being investigated with BLS 11-77 returning to the scene.
