Not sure if Coweta is going to BA's system, I have always heard they were going to Tulsa's/Statenet's 800Mhz system.

You have to have the LCN in order to listen no matter what scanner you use, it's not that difficult to plug the LCN's into the scanner.

No it's not that hard but, on RS scanners you have to remember to put the 1 channel in 01 or 101 and to skip 00 or 100 or it won't work. What kind of radio are you using now?

I heard from a City of Tulsa Telecommunications Radio Tech that Coweta is indeed going to the state's 800 and they are also going to build a tower in that area somehwere. There will also be a tower going up in Pryor and the Stillwater site is rumored to go online as early as May of 05. There are also some unspecified sites that are they are wanting to put up down in South Eastern Oklahoma. Lawton is also next to get a tower and go online. This is all just one more step to going statewide. I'll post more as it becomes available. Also my favorite EDACS scanner is any Uniden that does I-calls. The City of BA and PSO both use I-calls a lot!

sounds good, thanks pj. i was told awhile back that they chenge the lcn at ba on a regular basis and that meant we would have to re organize our scanners and find the new order. thanks for the info, i pray that coweta goes on the states 800 system....later, folta.

I have heard from several Coweta officers and TPD techs that Coweta
is indeed going to the state system. They Looked at the BA system. Some of their officers were talking about it one night and I told them how much trouble Glenpool was having. Later I ran into some of them and I demonstrated how I gould okc repeaters from Broken Arrow and they said they would talk to their brass. Next time I saw them the said they were going the state system.

Edacs is easy just program the freqs in lcn and then the talkgroups
smae as any trunking.

I think you might be confusing LCN with CC. Many systems change their Control Channels, if not daily at least once and a while. I have had the same LCN for BA for 2 years and it has never changed.
