Ingham County EDACS System Online!!

The stream for the Ingham County, Michigan EDACS system is back online. After many changes and updates, it should be working like it should now.

You can access it by starting Windows Media Player and opening URL http://scaningham.hopto.org:2502

Please let me know if you have problems. You won't notice it on your end, but there is a delay between the scanner reception of a signal and the streaming online. I'm working to shorten that if possible.

The server is streaming right now. I found the computer shut down when I got home from work today. Try opening Media Player and then using the "Open a URL" option in the File menu. Type in the address exactly as shown. If you just click on the link in my original thread, it will not work.

I'm currently working on placing the stream on a website so it will be more user friendly for everyone. Watch for future updates.

I have made one big improvement to the stream system. To make life easier for everyone who listens, I have created a website with Media Player built in. The correct URL and port number are programmed in so all you need to do is press the Play button. Make sure you accept the ActiveX control that allows you to use the player. After buffering, you'll be on your way to listening enjoyment!
