Emergency responders work to get on the same channel - Longview News-Journal: Local News

Using equipment and command center trailers from Gregg, Upshur and Henderson counties, the East Texas Council of Governments hosted representatives of police, sheriff and fire departments throughout a 14-county area to test their radios and see if agencies can communicate electronically.

Are Upshur and Henderson counties on TxWARN? No talkgroups are listed. Are they patched? Did anybody catch any comms?

Good article, though a bit short.

Upshur and Henderson both have sites (237 and 243, respectively), but as far as I know no talkgroups.

Upshur County is still using analog VHF Hi Band for communication for the S/O, County Fire, and Gilmer PD. I have never heard them on the TxWARN sites with any communications. Was not in town to listen to the event though. Only users I know of for TxWARN in Upshur County is ETMC EMS which provides EMS service to all of the county.
