Is there a list of fedeal frq's for Iowa some place? I've seen 1 fbi and 1 ice but that can't be all.

If people don't verify and submit the federal frequencies to the database, RR can't create a list, which is why you don't see much in the database. Your best bet is to search the federal bands and create a list as you discover them and hopefully you will submit them when found and verified, there are several resources to help identify what you uncover using both the NAC and Radio IDs.
A few other thoughts, US Capitol Police have a talkgroup on the statewide system, Iowa Statewide Interoperable Communications System (ISICS), which makes me think other federal agencies may be on there too, just not identified or fully encrypted so they can't be identified. My state system is very busy with DHS, DEA, FBI and USMS traffic. The other possibility is they are more active on cell phones than two way radios, especially in areas that are sparsely populated. You might look at each county in the database for additional fed freqs, often times these are used in more locations than reported (submitted) so just because it says Des Moines doesn't mean that is the only place it is used.
You might check other nationwide frequencies like the National Interagency Fire Center, ICE, and CBP, just becuase it doesn't specifically say IOWA doesn't mean they aren't used there. Check the nationwide listings in the database. Also, another great resource is the Fed Files Blog by @ChrisP .

Sometimes you also need to look under "each and every" County for them, depending on where the RRDB editor placed them.
As RaleighGuy urged, spend time with Search banks looking for them
138-144/148-150.7/162-174 (skip or LO the NWS - but don't overlook the Federal below 162.4000) and then the
380-400 and 400-420 bands
Take your time, take plenty of notes/log entries and understand the amount of activity will not be to the volume of your local PD/FD/EMS
but never ever ever rule out the odd time of monitoring/catching them (Nights, Weekends, Holiday - Wooooo)
Last time I was in Des Moines, there was plenty of activity in the federal bands. The Iowa Air National Guard at DSM airport were using multiple VHF P-25 channels, and the US Postal Service was busy in the UHF band.

Kamala was in town via AF2 to give her opinion on abortion. They used to tell us when and where the President or VP was going to stump or talk to the public and ABC NewsOne (on Galaxy 17 at the time) would always cover the arrival and departure sometimes with them getting on a helicopter instead of motorcade to get to the event location. ABC moved to SES2 and since it seems they don't cover it and the "offical" VP page did not give a time either.
