Hello all:
I always enjoy monitoring state fair activity, and every year find that something has changed. The Iowa State Fairgrounds radio system I know I can't hear, because I'm way up in Ankeny, but the channels on the statewide ISICS Tac system I can always pick up with no problem. As in years past, Tac 11 (48880) is Fire/EMS. I've been told in previous years that on the SARA network, (37701) is a patch from the fair to Polk County Sheriff's Dispatch, although I don't think I've heard it used. Probably used for something very serious, so hopefully I won't. I believe that last year Tac 9A (5009) was State Patrol patrolling the grounds, although this year I'm not hearing much on it. I'm not hearing anything on the official Iowa State Fairground channels that are on ISICS. Police Event 1 (48886) is, I believe, Des Moines City Police patrolling the parameter of the fairgrounds, although they're not very active either. What's new to me this year is Tac 15 (13005), and Tac 16 (13006), which seems to be parking, gate, and general fairground LE patrol. Is this accurate? Anyone out there with any "inside information?" Anything I'm missing? Thanks everyone!
