I have a Iphone 4s 16GB that I use as a "tablet" around the house connected to wifi. It took a swim awhile ago and does not show any RF cell service available (always shows searching...) but, like I said, use it on wifi.

I am trying to down load 9.2.1 IOS. Current version is 6.1.3 (very old). It downloaded the new update OK, but when trying to install it comes up with a prompt that says "unable to install update". Clicking on settings below that message says "storage almost full". Storage says I have 3.4 GB used and 10.1 GB available.

Any ideas? Seems I have enough storage... Can't figure it out.

What might be happening is since you are running such an old version, it may try an do a step by step update to the current build.

What you might want to do is hook it up to the pc and leave it hooked up. Run the update through itunes because then I think it can use the pc as cache. Might fix the problem.

If that can't work. Find iOS 7 and do it step by step on your end. You can find it and use itunes I think (I'm an android user).

Thanks all for the responses. I too was thinking it was because of the huge jump. I'll try itunes, thanks again.
