It might be but it happened to me, all you need to do is read the law..I knew if but did it anyway. The trooper asked me to cut it off

I back the blue but NO cop would ever tell me to take a 5-0 application of my cell phone. It is illegal in MOST states to have a scanner/transceiver. (If you are not in their way or a ambulance chaser, most likely you are fine)

Yes, Happy Fall. I back the blue and the red thin line, I'm not aware of scanners being illegal in MOST states but they are in some states. Be safe

No, only certain states. If it was illegal in most states, there wouldn't be much of a use for the GPS capability available in newer scanners. The GPS function updates what is being scanned as you drive down the road.
