Is SFO ARINC gone?

Appears to be silent. Any idea what happened?

FWIW, I passed through the airport in early November 2003 and I heard the control channel on 858.8875 but no voice traffic on any of the other frequencies. I guess they may have been in the process of taking the system off-line.

Hello,

I heard that ARINC was migrating over to iDEN nationwide. I do not know if it is their own system or Nextel.

At Logan (Boston) the system is still active but does not have the traffic it once had.
