I don't have a d-taped scanner, but I tried T4Win with my scanner and got this. Whenever I change what it's supposed to display (talkgroups, radio ID, etc.) nothing comes up, I have to leave it on the default.

EDIT: I recently got the message in the second image, "t4win2.JPG".

It strikes me you need a tapped scanner in order to get the proper audio, don't you?

Search the forums for "waveform" - we had a thread last week discussing what a good signal should look like (in the monochrome green area of the T4Win window).

OK, I'm trying to tap my PRO-24, and on Bill Cheek's SCANDATA.FAQ, it listed a chip that isn't there. The chip I did find is a Motorola MC3361BD. It also says pin 9, there are 8 pins on each side. Which pin is pin 9? When I do find pin 9, when I hook it up to a jack, where should I get the negative or ground from?

Check and search for a chip chart or do a search on the chip model. There it will show you the specs and whats what.. The notch on one end marks the 1st and Last pins. If i remember correct looking at the chip from the notch end, pin one would be on the right of the notch and counts from there all the way around to the pin on the left of the notch. If this is not correct I am sure someone will jump in and correct me PDQ... :D

If you BLOW up the scanner in SMOKE... I did not touch it I promise.... :p
