Is WWCR coming back?

Does anyone know about the status of WWCR after the storm? Are they attempting repairs, or are they just going to wind things down and close up shop? They just don't seem to have been on the ball since Brother Scare's departure.

Kinda weird when Brother Scare is the biggest SW signal from TN, and it's not WWCR. Seems to be working out OK for WTWW; 9930 and 5920 do well here.

Look on Wikipedia. It shows 4 transmitters but #1 transmitter is off air.

Heck, parts of their own website still show transmitter #1 as a streaming option. 😆

I read somewhere (can't find the post), that they suffered a roof failure and flooding at the transmitter building and lost power during this event. If I recall they were having some folks come out to look at it for repairs. It may be some time before they return.

Seems things are pretty bad there, but at least the streaming has come back online. Maybe Brother Joe will talk about the station during his live show this Friday. I wonder how much damage the xmtr coolers wound up with.

Per Reviewbrah of VORW the folks at WWCR report no major damage to antennas or transmitters, but are waiting for everything to thaw. They're predicting a return to the air this weekend, but VORW is skeptical of that.

Just heard on WRMI 9455. 55555 30 dB over s9 on small LoG.
