I've heard a couple of times in the past few days on 3 Southwest about the "op" working on "5B-2". I've no idea what talkgroup that is since I'm in Ottawa and only get traffic from T134 but something to listen for :)
TGID 9014 goes by different names depending on who's saying it. It shows as 3 B-5 in the new code plug but they usually know where to go.

Yes, the "zone assignments" stopped at the beginning of the year. S-19 is sound end of I 355, S-17 is around MM 261 on I 55. The 10-41 checks started this week.

My bad - It was Troop 5 that said this :) (I'm so used to Troop 3 Southwest referring to "5" things).

Last night they clarified channel names a bit, A detail was told to use "the old 21A" or "5A2". This should clear things up I hope :)

It sounds like patrols have changed again. N-Nora patrols now include IL 53 which I believe is N-7 now (Heard 3-111 receive an assignment at I 53 & Euclid yesterday) on 3-North now. N-7 was previously a North tollway patrol.

South tollway has changed too...S-10 through S-12. S-19 is I 355 only (No longer heard S-18 mentioned). M-7 through M-10 is still I 88.

This is only based on my listening and documenting.

Noted something else, the probationary troopers are now "Patrol Interstate" and no longer "Training Probationary" as of today. They currently use 3-500 through 3-510 radio signatures, unknown if this will be changing.

3 North and 3 Southwest (I don't know about the other Troop 3 channels as those are the only ones I get regularly) seem to be doing "10-41 checks" regularly lately (Like the Tollway does). It might be a chance to document new patrols :)

Yes, they all happen around the same time, so doing what I can do to catch them individually.

Not all have achieved solo patrol status yet, but heard 3-510 using 3-408 radio signature. 3-404 through 3-414 would be the next available radio signature block open.

Oak Brook TC's don't "recognize" the new radio call signs so 3-408 has to use 3-510, and others have to use their 3-500 series while on Tollway patrols "for now". There have been others besides them, "we don't show you as 3-xxx, so use your "old" radio signatures. Either MACH isn't being updated, or the changeover to Troop 3 TC's taking over tollway dispatching is coming soon?

As far as the patrols changing, it appears to be all zones. As I previously mentioned the North and Tollway-North has been updated, and a new term I haven't previously heard "gap patrol". I would venture to guess they're covering the patrol zone when it's uncovered by the assigned car? SW patrol is S-14 through S-17 with S-17 being I 55 west of I 355. That leaves S-14, S-15, S-16 as I 80 patrols. S-19 is I 355 only now. From what I can tell, S-1 through S-8 are SE patrol zone, as I haven't heard a mention of S-9 in a week. S-10 through S-12 is south I 294, while N-8 through N-10 is north I 294. "Gap assignments" have also been heard here. N-1 through N-6 is the Kennedy and Edens, while N-7 appears to be IL 53. N-11 through N-13 is the I 90 (Jane Adams Tollway) while N-11 appears to be the east end near O'Hare. Forgot to add the the Eisenhower/I 290 is M-1 through M-3, the Stevenson is M-4 through M-6 (up to I 355) and I 88 is M-7 through M-9. This is all speculation, note taking so it's not official or from any other source.

I'll post any dispatch updates on the Starcom thread as I pretty much have posted any restructuring updates that I have here.

I think the restructuring is done. The only thing left is Troop 3 Chicago dispatching the tollways at some point, which can be posted on the Starcom 2025 thread. Happy New Year.

I noticed on the new ISP Troop map and on their site that Boone County is now a part of Troop 1 instead of T3.
