Ive read and read and still am coming up with a problem when I program VB into my bc396xt. Using freescan I have imported VB radio system in. I locked out the utilities and what not so it would only scan Fire, EMS and Police. On the scanner it only shows Primary and sounds like its the city schools using the radio. Not sure what I did wrong. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like you have the analog Moto trunk system programmed. Police/Fire/Rescue are no longer on this system. The way the current system is shown here on the RRDB, it can be confusing for new scannists as well as for scannists visiting. To make things clear, I'll include this link to my scanning site for Virginia Beach P25, which is what you want to program.

http://www.geocities.ws/scanseva/vabeachp25.html

On the RRDB, you can find what you need here: Overlay Regional InterOperability Network (ORION) Trunking System, Various, Virginia - Scanner Frequencies

You only need to program control freqs for SITE 2.

Hope this clears things up for you.

Thanks, Steve. I've had issues in the past, as well.

Yes it is, currently by utilities, services, and schools because they havent moved to ORION yet but they are scheduled to when the rest of the city upgrades to the APX line.
