On a whim, I went on a hunt to find the cheapest radio currently available on the consumer market.

Here is << MY ENTRY >> Can anyone find one for less than $10.99?

Of course I've never considered buying anything from this site.
But what blew my mind was the multiband radio that even takes a USB stick for $4.70 << HERE >>

I don't have any entry, but Radio Shack had some good basic Am radios back in the day. At least back then AM radio was worth listening to.

I still have and use my Radio Shack Optimus AM/FM handheld to find RFI. The pot could use a blast, but definitely still works. A used one could probably be found for around $10.

I found a picture of the model.

I think I have an old Radio Shack "Flavoradio" somewhere. I think it was my sisters. Raspberry red. AM only.

$5.99 AM/FM with earphones and armband. Also available in their brick and mortar stores.

Depending on your definition of a radio, I have also seen the FM only scan tuning radios with earphones for 99 cents at the 99 Cent Store. Here is a great article about these types of radios on a chip.
