There is a large wildland fire in SW Jack County
Lot of aircraft activity. Helicopters SEATS and a heavy air tanker
135.725, 122.925, 168.750, 151.385, 154.28, 154.295 and Jack Co Fire 156.18

Hey Tom, are the freq in use showing up as good in the new TFS database you submitted. I may head that way in an hour or so...

Yes, except for 168.750.

135.725 is supposed to be the zone S of I-20 but that is what they are using.
They are splitting off one of the fires to 122.925 because of all the traffic on 135.725.

168.750 was listed as TFS flight following several years ago but I never heard anything on it until today.

I just heard via the Jack Co. online feed that all units go to ST ATE FIRE 1 for coordination on scene.

I suppose when it is nuts, they just pick something on the aircraft transceiver and go!!!

Not very likely. I heard air attack talking to Abilene dispatch requesting a second frequency and they were assigned 126.250. TFS probably has certain aircraft band frequencies coordinated with the FAA for their use.

I was so appreciative of you and RattlerBob putting together the TFS listing, because I bought a HP-1 a month ago, and it takes work like you guys did to make it work properly. I do think I may still have to travel with one of my older scanners to be able to hear everything.
