RAS would not be in the spirit of amateur radio.. and I would have to wonder if it was even legal on HAM.

The jamming on 2 meters and 70 cm is getting so bad in the area that many are moving to 6, 10 and 1 1/4 meters

I know the last post on this thread was about 6 months ago, but this pertains to this thread.

Up here in Dutchess County we have been getting our share of bootleggers and jammers on the 146.970 repeater. The one bootlegger always states he is from Queens, and uses a different call sign every time.

Few weeks ago we had we two stations that came on the repeater around 10:30p, One stationed called him self a "Weather Station" and he was calling another station "The Muffin Man". Shortly after their shenanigans we shut off the receiver for a little while, and they eventually went away.

I was listening to Alpine a few days ago, and it seems like the Jammers and still jamming that repeater pretty hard. I'm not sure how Alpine is set up in regards to remote receivers, but who ever was jamming was pretty strong into the repeater.

Stardard practice is to turn the repeater off when this happens.

He also gets on RPTs in the Philly area (N3KZ) , I have told him to Get off the rpt a few times.

Alpine NJ 146.955 repeater was getting jammed once again early this morning around 1AM. Unfortunately, newbie ham Rocky KD2BOR routinely acknowledges the jammer and calls him an A** Wipe which makes him jam even more. Rocky should just go back to 11 meters where he belongs.

I followed the instructions on the FCC website to report Amateur Radio interference including an audio CD a few weeks ago. So far... no reply. I have identified two jammers on 146.955 repeater in Alpine, NJ. Jammer #1 is definitely Danny Delise in Queens, NY because he talks and uses a fake callsign. Jammer #2 is very close to the repeater site probably running an HT or low power and just dead keys with no audio. I say he runs low power because myself and others have been unable to capture a signal on the repeater input frequency... even from the George Washington Bridge.

There was about the same thing going on in williamsport pa. i said who it was and nobody believed me. then this summer he just up and died. guess what? it all stoped period! and now we have a good repeater again.

Unfortunately that won't necessarily work with the jamming problem on the Alpine machine because there is more than one idiot jamming it.

As a follow up, I still have not received any reply from the FCC in regards to my complaint and I see no recent amateur radio enforcement posted on their website. This is our federal government at their best!

I heard that Danny D got a 220 MHz radio for Christmas so I would suspect that he will start jamming Charlie and Rocky very soon... Happy New Year.

Jammers come, Jammers go. Having absolute proof, & what can actually be done is another thing. Futal, & the idiot can always do it somewhere else. To think I memorized 400 Q&A to ace my test 18 years ago to listen to them clowns. Like the song we hear daily & hate. Let it go!

I am just pointing out the failure of the Federal government doing their job. There is a procedure in place to report interference and the only enforcement they seem to be interested in is on the commercial FM broadcast band going after all the pirate radio stations in the NYC Metro area.

Your absolutely correct. The local 120th pct is constantly getting jammed here on Staten Island also. And what changes? Nothing. The ma g ic word you used was Fed! Harmful interference volts lives too. Cheers my friend!

Most Jammers have to be a CB "type" with a mentality like that. Those classy folks...

"Teflon" Danny D (as Rocky calls him) was once again jamming the morning CBS net on 146.955. Why isn't the repeater trustee shutting down the system when this idiot starts cursing and swearing as he or she are required to do so???
