Jasper County Missouri Encrypted?

I've read several posts on Jasper County Missouri being encrypted in the last month or so but I'm still not sure if that happened. I was going to buy a scanner but I'm not sure it's worth it if most of Jasper County is encrypted. Does anyone know for sure if the Carthage Police, Jasper County Sheriff and the MSHP is encrypted?

YES, Jasper CO sheriff main dispatch Talkgroup is encrypted as well as several other local TGs including the Muni Law TG, Carthage, and Webb.
Mo SHP is NOT encrypted.
These TGs show an "E" for ful or an "e" for partial in the MOSWIN Database. If it is partial, expect it to be full encryption soon.
Local scanner and media folk met with the JASCO Board in a public meeting and requested no encryption, but the Sheriff and municipalities declined to be accountable and transparent. FWIW, Joplin PD has been encrypted for many years.

Is there anything else to be done as far as trying to get the communications unencrypted? It seems like a mighty big change was made without much justification for doing so. Do we need to elect new JASCO board members? Probably much harder to undo this now that it's done.

We made several good points, and they listened carefully. Then they "checked with the SHerff and Police Chiefs" and thay wanted ENcryption to continue. Not a big surprise. It is happening everywhere!
