Dave,
I have a BC396 with the ARC396 Software. I have been logging traffic using the ARC396 logging feature for some 6 or 8 months. I have the MAX buses on 37200 - Ch A - Routes; 37232 - Ch B - Supervisors; 37264 - Ch C - Shop and 37296 - Ch D - VIP/Handicap. I also have heard MAX using 37488 as a possible alternate or 2nd Ch A - Routes and 37520 as an alternate or 2nd Ch C - Shop.
Last night I heard a TGID of 34096 and it sounded like PD traffic from the area around Hiway 269 and Lexington St N (near Minor) They were logged in on the ARC396 log this morning as well. Any clues who this is? Last night they were talking about looking for a suspect or suspects and mentioned the Sheriffs so I thought it might be Minor PD.
I have also noticed that any TGID's above about 30000 (or 32768 and up) appear to be Digital and anything below 30000 (32767 and down) are Analog.
I also have logged 40+ I-Call TGID's and if you are interested in the list I have let me know. Based on some of the other posts linked to your site (I believe it was your posting) it looks as if any of the I-Call TGID's starting with 749xxx are Birmingham PD and 753xxx are Birmingham Fire. The lowest I-Call TGID I show is 703800 and the highest is 755518.
About me - I live in Center Point and work as a Security Guard at and industrial plant in North Birmingham. I take my BC396 to work and listen when I'm not out making a round. I usually concentrate on Bham/JeffCo and surronding counties especially while at work, but at home I also log several other counties as well as Railroad and Aircraft.
Good hunting
It's great to hear from you! Thanks for the info. I've been hearing those extra bus channels, too. Also, I have a few new TG ID's that I haven't figured out, either. 37520 sounded like PD, 23152 was a Rescue Unit - Unknown Department. I'm still working on the ICall ID's, too. I have a small list, most of which are BPD Sgts or beat cars.
As for 34096, I don't think it would be Minor PD. I don't think they have one... unless it's new. Very interesting find.
Good luck with your list!
