Just brought a BC365CRS police scanner need help finding frequencies

Im trying to find frequencies in my area that i can listen to i live in Mercer County Ohio i cant get anything to play.

You can try the few frequencies here, but they're mostly backup / not actively used by the looks of it, in terms of public safety. Doesn't look like a heck of a lot else in the area to listen to on a very basic analog scanner like that.


You need a much newer and advanced digital scanner to hear much of anything, in terms of police or other public safety for your area. You'd be looking more into the Uniden BCD325 / 996P2, or 436/536HP series, at least. There's some older used options that may work. But the main point being, you won't be hearing much of anything on the unit you have.

I'd return the scanner. It's very basic and you won't be able to listen to anything on it.

As @Enjoi19 said, I'd recommend a 325P2 (Handheld) or 996P2 (Base) which are digital and current models.
