Are the K-deck vhf patches always encrypted?
And I guess, Why ? Or is it for special traffic like casualties?
Or is the plan to encrypt VHF full time?

Per Radio Reference, they are always encrypted. Unknown why. At least we have vhf (non-patched) in the clear.
