I've read a handful of reports like this which lead me to observe the animal is sacrificed.
We should not be deploying police K9's on armed suspects. Drown these perps in hi speed jacketed projectiles.

I was hearing over on Troop 15 at that time when I heard that the Deputy's Vehicle broke down on the tollway while he was trying to get his partner to the animal hospital. I terribly feel sorry for his loss.

Yes, this is thoroughly depressing. The officer and his family lost a family member for no good reason. I'm sure the officer is constantly reviewing his actions over the incident. I sympathize. We've a 70lb female Siberian Husky we dote on all day/nite. I'm sure the officer is crushed.
I have friends in Hampshire/Kane County. I'm in touch with them over DMR. I worked field service in northern Illinois for years. I had work in Batavia while living in Elk Grove. Used to camp at Union/KOA when visiting. Health is gone now...I stay in FL.
