KBI was issued a frequency of 155.6775 with a callsign of WQDF422. Does anyone have a PL/DPL for them yet?

Did anyone catch a PL/DPL/NAC for KBI when they were in Bowling Green?
They were on Dateline NBC last week on the "To Catch a Predator" series.

In Bowling Green they used the county's radio system along with the SO for the bust. I did not monitor any of their specific frequencies, but I know they used the local system heavily. They called each other KBI1, KBI2, etc. They also did not sound real seasoned on the air, not bad, just as if they don't use the radio often. I would guess the channel is rarely used. I will ask some of the SO involved to see if they saw them operating on their own radios.

I hadn't thought about that.....makes since though, I remember seeing the S.O. involved now that you mention it.

We used the city/county trunked system for the detail. There were too many problems with some of KBI's mobile repeaters. We didn't have enough time to get their system and ours fine tuned through the ACU1000 so we took the easy way out by handing out spare portables.

Tim, how many ACU1000's do you have and are any of them in 24hr usage?

Just curious. They are nice pieces of equipment that is for sure.

I believe we only have the one. It is not used 24/7. The times I have ever experienced its use they have not been able to get it to function correctly. At least not what I would call functioning.

Louisville Metro has a couple I think, one or 2 in the MetroSafe Command bus, a mobile one in their C.O.W. and they use a computer based one for bridging the Urban and Suburban channels for interoperability.
