New to the Salem area , I have tried various freq. lists from web sites to program my Pro-94 for the Salem / Keizer area. I pull in Salem police
and fire, but Keizer police doesn't show. They list on the sites as the same towers, and the 800's lists are a bit differnt . Is there anyone from the area that might shed light on this for me ?!!

Thanks ..... plexus

By the way , I used to post in the Washington State forum ( Shoreline )

Keizer is on 800MHz conventional, if I remember correctly. I don't have the frequency/ies handy right at the moment, but will post them when I do. If you are on yahoogroups, you can check out http://groups.yahoo.com/group/nwscan and check the archives. It's been posted there a bizillion times.

According to the new Northwest Frequency Directory 9th Edition (www.ScanOregon.com) the Keizer PD conventional repeater is on 857.4875 with a 114.8 PL Tone.

Okay, here's the skinny, confirmed on a trip down south today.

Keizer PD is on the system known as "B Tower" in Salem. (The transmitter antenna is on top of a pole in the PD parking lot there). http://www.radioreference.com/modules.php?name=TRSDB&sid=114

(Make sure you get the frequencies for 'B' tower).

Keizer PD has several talkgroups, but appear to be dispatched on 57840. They do, however, have at least one conventional frequency that they use from time to time (see earlier post by DanRollman).

About the only other thing you will hear on 'B' tower is the sanitation department (water treatment plant up off Wheatland Road).

Hope that helps.

Thanks everyone, the conventional repeater freq. seems to have traffic although I havn't had a chance to confirm what I am monitoring . I have tried a " B " tower list , but I found two conflicting freq. lists so next I will program the one linked from from Joe's second post !

Thanks again Dan & Joe ... Plexus

KEIZER POLICE TALK GROUPS

Hi. Just purchased a Pro-95 scanner from the RS on Lancaster near Silverton. I too had problems getting Keizer, until I re-read the manual and also entered in the Tower B freqs and TGs.
Now, I get Kilo units no problem. The TGS are:
57840, 57808, 57776, 57744, 57712 Tower B Freqs: 856.4875, 857.4075, 858.4875, 867.8125, 867.5500

Try those and you should be able to receive Keizer loud and clear.
