Seeing Kendall 1 talkgroup in Phase 2 just now. I would imagine everyone listening here already can hear P2 with their scanners, and the feed I provide is a 536HP so it won’t miss a beat if the primary or OP channels go P2.

Heads up nonetheless

Interesting, I'll start looking at the display more often on my SDS100 and see what it shows. This evening it's showing phase 1.

I know when I had Pro96 with my 396xt running the Boerne tower would show P2 from time to time but all the transmissions were P1

TG 7001 Primary is full P2 TDMA on the Comfort site. I’m assuming that means that the county units are all upgraded. The Bergheim and Boerne sites still run that talkgroup in P1 FDMA.

Also of note, it’s still a Harris system but only 769.50625 CC and 771.70625 SCC are showing available for control channel.

I’ve seen 7001 LE primary, 7004 Op 2, and 7023 Kendall 1 all in Phase 2 today on the Boerne and Bergheim sites. If anyone is still using a scanner without P2 capability here, your listening days are numbered.

Any idea when phase 1 is going to be gone? I've got a BCD996XT which I believe only picks up P1.

I don’t have a timeline, I’m just a listener here. Based on what I’ve seen, it appears that the KCSO, BPD dispatchers, some BPD units, KCEMS and Boerne Fire apparatus have Phase 2 radios. As more agencies get Phase 2 radios on the system, it’ll go full time P2 when no P1 radios are affiliated with the towers.

I would also be willing to bet that Fair Oaks units should be upgrading radios too since Bexar SO is on AARRS now and they may have had access to EDACS in the past.

Fair Oaks used to have one officer per shift with a separate radio to monitor the county. I've heard SO West call for any FOR unit monitoring in the past. I don't think they turn on the radio most of the time. But, as you said, with the AARRS live, they are programming at minimum interop channels into LCRA radios, so it wouldn't be a stretch for them to have the county channels. Especially with them being covered by BCFA for Fire calls and a good chunk of the surrounding area in BCSOs area.

Some kind of bad interference with the audio eating up two voice channels at Luckenbach, Bergheim and Boerne Lake sites.

7010 (T) source ID 999279
7028 (D) source ID 999293

7028 is the county fire/EMS paging Channel, but the bad audio is not coming over 155.400. The county can tone but is unable to voice dispatch over 7028. It is a loud shrill alarm of some sort tying up both talk groups.

Dispatch just said that LCRA advised them the paging channel would be down for some time and dispatching would be done entirely on Active 911. Not sure where TG 7010 plays into this but both are now off the air.

Just some FYI in case those monitoring were not aware. BISD uses Harris radios in the buses. I have no knowledge of them upgrading but I don't see why they would. It would be interesting to see if the P2 traffic was on days where there was no school. BISD also has several HT's they still use at major event's like the recent graduation's.

I did see P2 traffic this past Saturday, 6/17, between two county units on Kedall-1, but did not see P2 when they spoke with dispatch on Primary. From my location I can only receive the Boerne site out by the lake.

I heard some Fair Oaks Ranch PD guys coming across Phase 2 yesterday. The end user usually won't know if they are Phase 2 or 1. The radios are already set up to receive both simultaneously or just one phase or the other. It's kind of like encryption. If you have the right keys in the radio, you will receive the transmissions whether you are transmitting encrypted or in the clear.
