Kennebec Fire Channel 155.0925. Channel used by Lincoln to Dispatch Farmingdale, Pittston, Randolph, West Gardiner. Seems like they be adding Dresden to this channel. The Gardiner Fire chief has been driving around in Dresden to do Radio and tone tests on this channel for Dresden. Unsure if they decided to switch due to Radio issues.

When I lived in Dresden it was hit or miss Dresden is a small town but lots of area to cover, I have to sit down and reprogram my analog scanner and update. I just haven't had the time! But very good find and I will tune in now!!

Not confirmed that they are switching. Just going by the radio tests and tone tests. Waiting to see if it actually happens or not

I heard some of the Dresden testing yesterday around 1-2 pm and thought it was odd as I was thinking Dresden is dispatched by Lincoln county fire north. Though usually Dresden fire dispatches is poor quality to me and I am in Pittston

They are dispatched on fire north as of now but could change due to radio issues maybe. It's a long shot

Fire North no longer exists per se, as the whole system is simulcast. 155.98500 (118.8) is countywide and is transmitted of at least five sites in a simulcast net, which at least one repeat and forward extender still in use.

I have been told that they are testing the So. Kennebec dispatch frequency (a dispatch channel for LCRCC) because they are trying to bridge coverage gaps in the north side of Dresden. There is talk that Gardiner may be partnering with Dresden in coverage of their town with both Fire and EMS, which has sped up the necessity for these tests.

So is it worth adding Dresden to the list of the towns in my Pager for alerts? or wait until they switch if that switch happens
