I just programmed into my sds100 Keybank Center freq. there is a listing for keybank security on 424.900 mhz. I am picking up transmissions but it sounds like a law enforcement as i was hearing a traffic stop and "traveling eastbound". This does not seem like radio traffic for the arena. I did see another freq 469.700 mhz for arena security so i assume that is the correct freq for them. Anyone have any ideas who is on 424.900 mhz? I pasted the database for keybank center below

424.900 is licensed to Saia and is listed in the RRDB as LCN05 of SaiaNet Site1, Seneca One Towers. Law enforcement agencies such as Buffalo PD and NYS Thruway (NYSP Troop T) are patched to Talk Groups on Saia Net so that could be what you are hearing.

It is possible it could also be used on a simplex basis inside Key Bank Center as reported in the RRDB. I am not in the area to know what is going on but the Key Bank Center Security listing of a simplex DMR use seems dubious.

I was listening to it this morning for a hour. Definitely not law enforcement. It is some company chit chating on radio. One guy was sent out to pick up stuff at few locations. I wonder if it is waste company

Makes sense that this is a channel on the Saia system which would account for the different traffic being heard. The database for Keybank Center also shows the same color code with no group or slot info. If the site is also at the HSBC Center, it would make no sense for Keybank Center to use it for a simplex channel as they would most likely experience interference.

Since the OP obviously has a DMR capable radio, he should try programming in the Saia system and see what he hears.

Saia Net has many waste company, school and general business users. You are hearing one LCN of the DRM CON+ Saia Net system.
You should program the Saia Net system to hear it all.

I suspect the submission for Keybank Center was someone using Close Call at the Center to get the site activity, got a hit on 424.900, heard what they thought was security and submitted it. That is why I said the listing looks dubious.

That's what I suspect as well. It's not a conventional channel, he obviously has the DMR upgrade since he's hearing traffic on it and he needs to program in the Saia system. Then hopefully he'll identify the group information for what he's hearing and submit it to the database.

I've removed the conventional channel from the database.

Everything the OP is hearing is consistent with SaiaNet subscribers and that particular SaiaNet site happens to be CC1 so I have no doubt that is what he is hearing.

I can't pick up anything inside the arena and I will also add the casino, from my South Cheektowaga home. So I doubt unless you're actually in eyesight of the arena you will receive anything from it.

With the exception of 461.600 all the other frequencies on that list are portables only so very little possibility of hearing away from the Center.
461.600 is another SaiaNet LCN - Site 17 Colden LCN06 so you will probably hear that DMR signal which is unrelated to any use at the Center.

I also suspect 461.600 is likely also just portables. The "RM" listing for the frequency may be just an assumption because of the Saia licenses. There is no license on that frequency specifically for the KeyBank Center.

I submitted this info many years ago when I was a Sabres season ticket holder and used to go to every game. I gave up my tickets 4 years ago. Most, if not all these frequencies are outdated. I believe security is now digital, but I'm not 100% sure. I haven't been to a game in years, so I don't have the chance to search and identify frequencies like I used to. This database should be deleted.

I haven't been there in a while either, maybe the Garth concert years ago was the last time I was there, but, I'm on the same thought as you. I'm fairly confident I saw security with SL something series, but didn't hear anything that I can recall.

Here's some probably good FCC licenses that may help the search go easier. The radio system they may be using (either conventional or TRS) is most likely optimized for coverage within the building and slightly outside it, so, you might have some difficulty picking it up from your home

WQPP534 - Sportservices for the arena
WPLD833 - Western New York LLC (its the Sabres organization)
