I drove to Gatesville today..

North Fort Hood (Site 303) should be about 3-4 miles from Gatesville of Hwy 36. Accross the road from the Gate, or close to that.
I just sumbitted the rest of the freqs for 303.
Also oddly enough, I got good Signal for both Towers 101, and 202 in Gatesville.

The News Release from Pg1, says it will be a 49 channel 4 Site System.

That Adds up to 45.
So there should be four more, at some point.
19 for Site 1
16 Site 2
8 Site 3
2 Site 4

so is it safe to say, Oncor or TXU or whatever they are today, will no longer handle ANY of Ft. Hood's Communications?

I'm sure that will be the case in the future.

While I don't monitor them there I think it will be a bit still.

These 380MHz. Federal TRS's are popping up all over the place, and with a quickness too. I wonder what makes them more special as opposed to 406-420MHz Trunking?

Maybe they're trying to make them all P25IP?
Also same frequency range?

No clue really..that would make sense though.

Is there a way they could be linked together using the IP stuff?
