Does anyone have the list of working frequencies for this incident? Maybe the command and tactical channels. I am not too far from the incident and would like to listen.

Thank you.

Thread merged.

Gentlemen, can we try to keep all the King fire related posts in one thread while this incident is ongoing? This will make it much easier for people to find information quickly.

Thanks.

Capt63,

Really good information. It is especially helpful to see Command 37 listed officially. I've run across people listing command pairs both here and on other sites, yet the source was never identified. I'm going to update the Wiki page for the NIFC system and include this command and some others I have information for. I wonder if the other channels might be, i.e. Commands 14-18, Commands 21-25 and Commands 28-36.

If we had someone who could get every 205 on every fire in the country for every day I suppose we might figure this out. I wonder these commands are only used in California and not for the rest of the country. They haven't shown up in frequency directories for other regions/states.

I may have some notes that may be difficult to find with more command frequency pairs. I haven't kept close track of what I've received because a source was not provided and I had the impression that they were "one time incident assigned" frequencies.

Seeing one of these commands listed on a comm plan changes my view. The member passing this information to us has more than sufficient credibility. I've experienced many members not being well informed and unable to discern what they are hearing. They often provide a list of frequencies that contain repeater input frequencies they haven't paired with outputs. Some may not understand that there are input and output frequencies for repeaters. They also label frequency use with the all inclusive term "operations," a term that doesn't help determine anything. Another interesting term frequently used describing the radio systems of federal land management agencies is "rangers." The bulk of the traffic on park, forest, BLM district and wildlife refuge nets does not involve rangers. The law enforcement nets of the NPS, USFS and BLM have a lot of employees with titles other than "ranger," but that is the net where most of their traffic takes place. If the park, forest or district does not have a law enforcement net the bulk of the traffic on their nets is non law enforcement traffic. I think you can see that I have to take many posts with a grain of salt. It is important to note the distinction as the main nets are frequently used for ICP to local dispatch traffic.

If I find anything I will post. Recently, I had to purge a lot of material as it was becoming impossible to find room for it. Hopefully the notes on additional commands survived the purge.

Yet more commands to add to the confusion of what fills the gaps between the few that are listed from Command 13 through 61. I wonder why there are so many commands and so few tacticals?
