Does anyone have any personal suggestions for some frequencies that are entertaining to listen to but a little out of the ordinary? I have all the FDs and PDs in the region and a few security companies. But I'd like something new to listen to.

Can anyone suggest their personal favorites like cab companies or tow trucks or businesses or building inspector, etc. I know there are tons of things I haven't explored in the database, but I'm hoping to get some personal references from you guys.

Well i like listening to the shortwave stuff, I have a Grundig E5 now that i got for 150$ and its awsome i can pick up everything,

Try some HAM frequencies, I turn the squelch all the way down to static and i press the "up" button until i come across some thing i can hear,

When its the time of season i really like listening to Skywarn

Or when i get to the point where i cant take hereing the prase "10-4"or"House Call" again
i go the NOAA weather and memorize it and repeat it back to my wife or friends............:)

The NOAA voice is a little guy that lives in a box in the computer rack at the weather service. He's very shy, so I've never seen him, but his box is 19" wide by 4" high and about 24" deep.

Most of everyone has his voice, if you have Windows XP PRO sp.2, its a voice that can be downloaded to the comp, you can get to it by the nararater in the start menu,

I was in the state of Wisconsin, and the NOAA weather voice was Dutch, that was the most accent change ive every delt with....

Thanks for your suggestion, X! I'll check it out.

As for the rest of you, thanks for hijacking my thread (which I suppose, juding by the lack of responses, wasn't a very good one anyway.)

Mostly, I'm just suprised that no one asked me who Klytus is.
