King Co. TRS: (62864) Not sure exactly what but one of the call signs was "smokey-3"(sounds really clear for an air unit) and "ocean-xx "Not sure who this is? Seems as if the air unit is relaying info to ground units about a "rambler style" house, some trees shadowing it etc.( a description) Ground units also asked "smokey-3" to use FLIR to see if anything was "hot" they replied the cars tires were indeed hot. This brings up a question, as to who can use L.E.R.N.??? I realize its a multi-agency type TG. I'm hearing it on the King Co Trnkd. sys. But the other night i heard what was the tail end of a chase but it sounded like all Tacoma units. Why would this be active in King.Co? Unless they had thier chase wander into this area and it was being patched or something..But on the chase i heard the other evening the streets were not familiar local Seattle/eastside streets. Sounded as if maybe was tacoma area???? Thanks ahead to all who answer...:)

Lern?

Does that include ValleyCom and also State Parks? We are dispatched by ValleyCom and often have to work with the state parks and currently don't have a common channel (including MARS) that they have... we thought we could use PSOPS or MARS that we can use when workign with PD but not the State Parks... let me know if you know.
Thanks

I know the parks units can get on the local WSP channel(s), which would lead me to believe that they'd have MARS too. It's kinda surprising they don't have at least one MA channel...

You could always use this channel; an officer told me he can use it even when his radio's battery is dead!
