Numerous Federal Agencies involved including FBI, DEA, and ATF. Ongoing protest happening at Alondra Blvd and Atlantic Ave in Compton with LASD Deputies mobilizing to disperse the crowd.

CHP are sending additional reinforcements, National Guard is being activated at the moment.

Activity on various known Federal repeater freqs. However, most of the crowd ops are on local comms.
LASD: LKD Metro and SRT-1 seen very active on South UHF simulcast.
LAPD, downtown: CW Tac 2, OSB Tac 2

Don't know how many knowledgeable will read this, but keep an eye out for Nat Guard comms, so we can all listen! If you don't want to post it publicly, hey, just message me so I can listen. đŸ˜‰

Per media, 300 National Guard members are being deployed to three locations - Metropolitan Detention Center, Federal Building downtown, and Federal Building in West LA.

During the fires earlier this year the Guard made use of several of the 800Mhz nation interop channels, along with access to local PD comms via loaned radios. Not sure they need to liaise much with local law enforcement in this situation, so they might just be assigned cache of Fed radios.
Overall, the Fed radio bands are quiet today, with minimal activity on known ICE, DHS and FBI frequencies.

Out of curiosity if anyone within radio reception range is this older Smarnet TRS still active at the Metropolitan Detention Center?

Downtown is heavily chaotic. Watching it from Channel 7’s view. Any update on National Guard? It’s been reported that Marine’s down in Camp Pendleton are on standby.

Trump just called the people involved in the LA situations insurrectionists, opening the door for the insurrection act and deployment of the military, really surprised we aren't getting more reports of fed frequency activity, even if encrypted activity.

Your scanners are only capable of monitoring the very basic forms of communication technologies that they have at their disposal.

There has been plenty of Federal radio activity - FPS, ICE, CBP, FBI, ATF etc, especially on Friday and Saturday while the raids were taking place.

Quieter today, as it is seemingly more about facility security than being out and about in the community.

That is what I'm assuming but they aren't posting frequencies, NAC, RID or other info, like it's a big secret.

Federal frequencies, especially in SoCal, are pretty wide-spread. The bandplan changes from area to area, state to state, etc.
I've noted active in the last few days (with only brief periods of scanning around):
CBP- CBP LA 1 (168.825, NAC104), Wide Area 4 Palomar (167.375, NAC 249) *could be ops further south,

That's about all I can remember. Most everything was encrypted, so I moved along and didn't take notes. Local LE traffic in the clear has been more fruitful.

I think most of us here are focused on their HT comms, like the APX's in all the pictures. Probably using their various VHF/UHF nets, repeated and direct. Yeah, they have other comms at their disposal (even if it's just cell phone-to-cell phone from squad leader to squad leader, but the VHF/UHF comms would be the closest we all can get.

Hearing CHP on TAC 1 B (39.100 Mhz PL 179.9) ., Lots of comms when the units were pinned down under the freeway earlier today.
When a CHP SRT came in last night to relieve some LASD teams in Paramount, I heard some traffic on another freq where they were trying to ask which Ch CHP was using, and by God, they couldn't get it right, lol. "They're on TAC-1 on their radios!" "Oh, I got info they are on LA-LAW 1." "Scratch that, L-LAW 1." "I cAn'T fInD thAt iN My rAdiO." Duh, cause it's low band... Guess they're on TAC-1 after all. Haha

700 Marines are being officially deployed per US Northern Command. Confirmed by KTLA and other sources. All coming from Twentynine Palms.

What broadcasting feed is the best for listening to all of the protests ?
I, too, was looking for one to send to fam/friends, but couldn't find one. There's quite a bit of action on LAPD CW T2 right now - dispersal order issued about 30 mins ago, and things have heated up quite a bit since.
