Lately I've been seeing alot of LA County PD units driving around Norwalk and Whittier county. Never seen them before until now. I was wondering if they will change the name on their units to LASD?

They're merging with the Sheriff in June. Right now they are temporarily operating on LASO C-Tac 2 for dispatch. See the LACOPS thread in this database.

Yes, as that agency ceases to exist. If your seeing additional cars in the Whittier area, it's probably them going to from STARS, preparing to be deputies.
