Forgot, there are QRS units at a few FD's as well. Somewhere below ambulance..
IDK what the exact distinction is. Don't think I've ever heard Cali on 33.92. I think you guys can hear it better than the locals. Very small footprint. Must go straight up. 😆

That's my guess. I'm from that general area originally so it's a treat to hear home.

They were loud and clear here today.

Mannheim Township.... Intermediate 85-1... etc.

WNKC982 is the license I've always listed in my logs, and looking at the FCC DB, it's the only thing currently licensed in Lancaster County on 33.92. It does not appear that the County itself ever held a license on that channel, it's always been E. Lampeter (or Ephrata, but they let it lapse).

While it is E. Lampeter Township, I list it in my logs as Lancaster Co, PA Fire Dispatch, since that's what it's transmitting.

QRS (Quick Response Service) are units like utilities/squads staffed with BLS crews that respond on medical calls to evaluate/stabilize patients prior to an ambulance’s arrival. They do not transport.
