Lancaster County Fire Operations

Looking for some info on Lancaster FD operations. Will be visiting Strasburg and the surrounding areas and wanted to make sure I had the right programming in place. I see they are South and City if that is correct. I see a mix of different channels Ops, Adam, Bravo and Charlie etc. Just wanna know what I should program for the area I'm visiting. Also looks like they are in the South Simulcast Zone just wanna make sure so that it is not trying to reach another zone with less service.

Your info is correct, they would normally respond on Charlie, and sometimes an ops channel is assigned 10, 11, 12 are south zone ops. Areas North & East of US30 use Bravo and Ops 6, 7, 8, NW Areas use Alpha and Ops 2, 3, 4. You may want to include the NE Simulcast in addition to the South Site.

I dumped the whole county into the SDS. But I wanted a more refined set up on my G3.

Yes, they're used, but not on an incident with other stations involved, generally. A few are encrypted.
