Hey everyone i wanted to know if i could buy software so i can have a scanner on my laptop and if sowhat to get

You can hook a scanner up to it though.

ok i have herd of a program that comes with a external antenna and a reciver that you can install the program and hitch up the antenna and reciver and have a scanner on your coumputer

No, you can have an FM radio on your computer, but not a scanner.

Unless somebody can prove me wrong, I'd love for that to happen.

Yes, WinRadio in the post above, but it's not just software, you have to buy the hardware too. And it's more expensive than buying a scanner.

Yep, Winradio, or the Icom PCR series, but all expensive options compared to a handheld scanner.
