Mikeh, I think he was asking for the Town of Laramie, which is in Albany County. I can see why one could get confused. Cheyenne is the county seat Laramie County and Laramie is the county seat of Albany county. The there is the Town of Fort Laramie in Goshen County. To the south in Colorado is Larimer County. If you are in Laramie you might want to put in the frequencies for Carbon, Laramie and Larimer(Colorado) counties as well. Don't forget the highway patrol on 155.445 PL 107.2 and SALECs 155.64 PL 107.2. Check out the FCC ULS database and if you find an active frequency add it to the RR database. http://wireless2.fcc.gov/UlsApp/UlsSearch/searchLicense.jsp

Happy listening...

This is a tough one since I don't see a license issued to the city of Laramie for a fire dept. Maybe the county or the state has responsibilty for fire related services. I would check these frqs. for fire activity if I were in Laramie:

The freqs listed are for Wyolink, the trunked state system that should be on the air within the next few years.

Stuff to listen to

There isn't a lot of stuff to listen to, but the good thing is it's a lot easier to follow what's going on. Don't forget to program in the LTR system that is in Laramie. I don't think anybody has posted any talkgroups from that yet. The UW freqs are pretty interesting when there is a game. Other than that its just the typical small town stuff.

Ltr

There is a trunked system in Laramie that uses LTR trunking. It is owned by Commsource and is used for businesses.

University

The University has a new repeater pair pending approval with the FCC. 152.375/157.635 is pending in the FCC database so you might want to scan it to find out what it used for then post it in the RR database.

If you're asking me, I used to frequent the area and still go up there sometimes. Those freqs. have been in use for years, so they were just my own findings. It's not that hard to just use the search mode there because there aren't many freqs. in use in Wyoming.
