Does anyone have the problem as I do? When I plug a stereo audio cable from the scanner to the computer, I notice there is a very large DC voltage on the computer end and results in a constant "beeeee" tone. The problem only happens when use the audio cable (for recording) though, not with a headphone.

That being the case, have you tried an alternate cable? Verified it is not the jack on the PC end?

Are you plugging it into the Mic or Line In jack on the computer? Try adjusting the levels of each and also make sure the Mic boost is off
