Ottawa FD is using ITTF Talk group 30341 incident 5. Probably till October. Their primary radio system went down so IEMA gave them radios to use.
Not sure why they can’t use their other vhf simplex frequencies but the FD wants the city to switch to starcom instead of fixing the issue with the previous system. The fix is way cheaper then switching to starcom so we shall wait and see. Last I heard with a trade in of their radios they use now it will still cost the city over a million to make the switch to starcom. The fix to previous system i heard is 50k.
All active fire they will use mabas blue.
