Hold the 3 key down while turning on the scanner and tell us what is showing on the display.

WildOne, you are running current firmware. An update is expected soon to fix some bugs. Keep checking GRE support website for the release.

any idea about the waiting for dsp error message showing?

Here's the only known fix:

1) Turn the radio off
2) Turn the radio on
3) While the welcome message is shown, press 0, then 2, then enter

The radio should reboot. This procedure will reset all GLOB data to the defaults (You'll lose your welcome message, and any SAME entries that have been entered).

If that one doesn't take care of it, use the 0-1-Ent key combination instead. That combination will delete everything from working memory, including scannable objects. (VFolders will not be affected by this).
