I live in Laurens.Several months ago I read an article in the local newspaper.The article was about
Laurens County moveing to the uhf
high band.I wanted to know if this has happened?

NO, the state of SC has mandated that all police, fire, etc have radios on the Palmetto 800 trunking system. Laurens and Clinton have already tested their radios using talk group 49712. These radios will not be used for dispatch but mutual aid as was used today in Anderson where there were several dive teams looking for the Clemson student.
