In a couple of weeks I am going to have a layover at PHX. I am bringing my PSR-500 with me and was wondering what I should program into it. I am mainly interested in police and fire/ems but am willing to program anything (should have plenty of room for everything with the 500). Thanks in advance for your help.

While visiting we had excellent results with the 396 by setting up a system for the PRWIN fill-in site located at the airport:

If just want to hear airport stuff just program the single sky harbor site listed.

You'll find a talk group list located there, though I'd suggest actually working the site in open / search mode, as we found a few talkgroups which weren't listed and you might be able to figure out what they are. It's a really nice airport.

The ATC stuff was also quite interesting:

You also might try searching 128.825 to 132.000, AM mode, 25 KHz steps for the airline stuff, as well as regular business bands. It's a busy place.

Happy Scanning! - Ted
