LCD Latching

...maybe I am dense , but is there a way to have the LCD light up (not the alert LED) so I can see who is talking and remain lit for the entire transmission? I believe the manual refers to this as Latching (?).

I'd like this setting to be universal, not per freq, if possible... but for the life of me, I am missing it. I'll reread the manual, but if anyone could offer me a quick tip on it, that would rock.

Latch LED only work's with the LED and not LCD.If you have it set to on and you have an LED alert set to a channel the LATCH function will keep the LED lit even after activity ends on that channel,providing you have the latch function enabled.

As far as the LCD lighting up globally,I am not sure I've only found success with per object settings.

I've set mine per object, its one of the options when you scroll down to all the setting while enter your new object or editing an existing one. With the LCD there are 3 settings, OFF, ON or FLASH.

You want it set to ON.

That will light up your background LCD display as soon as the freq is active and will remain on until 3 or 4 secs after the transmission is complete, then turn off.
