I did see one and only one transmission come up as encrypted the rest were in the clear.

Site info has changed/is changing as well. Site 1 now shows an RFSS of 10 an NAC of 0A(h). I've heard part of all these upgrades also includes making this a simulcast system, so it looks like things are on the move.

So it looks like City Centre site 1 is now site 10, and it's using a mix of frequencies that previously belonged to sites 1 & 2. I'm no longer seeing Site 2 as an active neighbour, only 3 & 4. So it's possible 1 & 2 have been merged into 1 simulcast site now perhaps...

London is now sending OTA alias information. I will try and get an updated DSD p25 capture in the next few days unless Forts beats me to it.

Got a couple of questions for you fellas who might be more in the loop.

First, are all the agencies that use OneVoice going to be changing similar to how LMRN happened, or is it just LFD?

Will everything end up being encrypted on the City of London OneVoice system, or is it just LFD? I would assume all of LFD will be encrypted?

Any idea on a timeline for the big E? Trying to figure out how much time I’ve got to be able to listen to it.

Not sure what you mean by changes similar to LMRN, this isn't anything on that scale. Basically, from what I've been able to gather, they are upgrading the entire system from a 4 site multicast system to a simulcast system. There will still be multiple sites around the city, but they will all share the same frequencies and users won't roam from site to site anymore. This is obviously more efficient as they will be eliminating a bunch of frequencies that they will no longer need. I haven't heard any talk of going Phase II/TDMA, so no change there.

As far as encryption goes, it's just LFD that I'm aware of. I'm sure this is due to multiple reasons, but the big two will be medical details over the air, and tows racing to get to MVC locations when calls are dispatched. The tow situation seems much better here over the recent months but no doubt it's still an issue now and again.

Timeline? Not sure at this point. I was originally told it would be by last July, but there were supply chain issues with new radios etc that have slowed things down. From talking to a few people it sounds like there are still trucks awaiting new mobile radio installs. So... I'd hazard a guess a month or two at most.

I was meaning more how EMS, OPP, and MTO all went encrypted. Just wondering if the rest of the city services are likely to follow suit and turn on encryption too
