I have the following programmed in and yesterday and today there was training calls for east main street and ladder 1, engine 1, ladder 4 were dispatched. It was obvious that it was an exercise.

Ok... what talkgroups were you hearing the training exercises on? 418, 419 and 420 have been in use for a while. Were you hearing it on something other than those?

Unfortunately I was not home at the time to see which one it was. I was hoping someone else heard it and could confirm which one.

Oh oh oh ok.... I missed that the first time around. Were you listening via an online feed? Perhaps they had some talkgroups patched or something... who knows. Approx what time did you hear this yesterday?

I listened in a little.. 417 Hazmat was the training TG it seemed. Didnt see any patched TG's thou

ah ok thanks.... I was going to look back in my logs and see if there was anything new or unusual.

I would assume it would be for the Hazmat techs to use if there were a large occurrence going on... that way they could have a channel to themselves while the rest of the fire ground chatter was elsewhere. Obviously doesn't get used much, so it seems to be more of a 'just in case' talkgroup than anything else. Just like the old conventional Hazmat channel.
