As you may know, the United Nations just passed 10-0 (Even RUSSIA!) on support and approval of the Libyan no-fly zone and approval for airstrikes. Britain forces have already said they will be first ones to move in. Probably very, very soon, hence the planned attacks for the 3-17. For more info on the story, check out: UN OKs 'all necessary measures' against Libya - World news - Mideast/N. Africa - msnbc.com

I'm sure we will get a good amount of SKYKING's tonight, as we have the last couple of weeks. I'll be monitoring the USAF-GCS tonight, along with the Meridian-2 just in case we might get some action on that, since it will be on our side for the night of the 3-17.

So please let us know what you get on HF, or even any open SATCOM transponders!

I'm sure we are bound to get some kind of extra activity, maybe some possible ship frequencies, AWACS frequencies, and possibly a long distance air to air.

Sorry about that, was just answering his question. PM me if you have any more questions N1RGR.

-Unidentified station calling Jeep 42 was calling on 6761 KHz USB
-APE52 was calling cornet(I think), and JAMES52 responded, also on 6761 Khz USB.

Correct me if I am wrong!

Whoa!! Here is a wierd one!!!

8992 USB now, Arabic speaking? On the USAF-GCS. WHOA!

Lady voice is about S6 here, male voice is just barley over noise floor. Maybe something over in Libya???

They sound like they are in a conversation, no EAM's or anything. A new station just got in too.

I'd probably be better off getting 10315, propagation has been really up and down today. I'll try it and see what I get. Thanks!

As you may know, the United Nations just passed 10-0 (Even RUSSIA!) on support and approval of the Libyan no-fly zone and approval for airstrikes.

Russia, Germany and some others abstained. The vote was 10 for, 5 abstain, 0 against. On saturday CNN is saying French aircraft have already attacked Libyan targets.

Nice to see that the Arab League is onboard for this action, and that the US is taking a support role and letting the Europeans and others be in the lead, I am very happy to see that even my military sending is sending a detachment of 6 F-18s to assist. Time to kick some Gadhafi A*S!!!

Earlier 6688 had French a/c reporting to Capitole relaying info about bombed targets.
