I've got to believe this has been asked and answered before but I haven't found it so I just ask...

In trying to help someone with a problem, I found myself looking at the coverage for a given site of the North Carolina VIPER system. By this I mean by clicking on a given site, the mapping shows the license location and radius based on the range.

Welcome Site Details (VIPER Statewide P25)

I was curious if another site existed in nearby larger city/town and it did with a significant overlap of the original site I was looking at.

Lexington Site Details (VIPER Statewide P25)

This got me to thinking - does anything exist that allows one to display multiple sites for a given system simultaneously on a single map? If not, any interest in making that happen to show the coverage of the sites as a more complete picture?

Thanks for considering it....

There is a page for any multi-site system that shows the locations of all the sites for a given system as entered by the RR DB admins. It doesn't show a radius circle (many of those are fairly arbitrary anyways). I would rely on personal knowledge of the geography to determine the potential for overlap.

To get to it, go to any of the trunked radio systems. Immediately under System Frequencies, you should see:

Site Map(s): FCC Callsigns RR Locations

General the RR Locations is probably what you're looking for. For VIPER, the map would be found at Site Map: VIPER Statewide P25. The FCC Callsigns will plot out every location that is associated to the system and likely will not provide a site name.

Ah - that's a great start. Never knew that was there. Thanks
